Our Mission

The Northshire Day School offers healthy social and educational experiences under qualified supervision in a safe, stimulating atmosphere.  Our purpose is to build individuality and self-respect, lay positive foundations for learning, and encourage responsibility and the respect and understanding of others, to promote health and safety, and to strengthen and support parents and families.  We believe that self-esteem is the most important factor in the development of confident and meaningful social interaction.  We strive to create an atmosphere of love and trust for the children in our care, based on mutual respect between adult and child.  Our responsibility is to offer challenging, success-oriented experiences, designed to address a child’s unique needs and level of development, and in so doing, to enhance the possibility for the development of a positive self-image.
